World Space Week 2013: Exploring Mars, Discovering Earth

In 1999, the United Nations General Assembly declared 4-10 October as World Space Week. Pakistan is endeavoring to enter the realm of Space Science & Technology and related applications. In past couple of decades we have seen considerable advances in this field. The success of any space program relies greatly on public understanding and support. It is, therefore important to communicate the benefits of Space Technology in collaboration with our National Space Agency (SUPARCO) to the public on regular basis. Earth observation, navigation and telecommunication satellites are used every day to protect humans and safeguard our environment. The theme for this year is "Exploring Mars, Discovering Earth".

In view of the above, Institute of Space Technology has planned to hold various events at its campus from 4-6 October 2013. Detail of the events, rules/ regulations and instructions can be found on Program and Downloads Page.
