APSCO’s CubeSat jointly developed by IST and Shanghai University Launched

APSCO successfully launched its two satellites, named as SSS-1 (microsatellite) and SSS-2A (cubesat), on 14 October, 2021 at 18:51 Beijing Time. The satellites were launched into orbit by LM-2D rocket from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center in China. The satellites successfully entered the predetermined orbit and the launch mission was a complete success.

IST jointly developed 3U Cubesat SSS-2A with Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Space Systems Lab (SSL) of IST was incharge of designing three subsystems of the cubeSat. IST Satellite Earth Station will be used to track and receive these satellites for health and performance monitoring as well as receiving and analyzing payloads’ data.

IST's first cubeSat ICUBE-1 was launched in 2013.
