I am currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Electrical Engineering department at IST. I received my B.S. degree in Communication Systems Engineering from the Institute of Space Technology, Islamabad, Pakistan, in 2007. I then received my M.Sc. degree (Distinction) in Satellite Communications Engineering and a Ph.D. degree both from the University of Surrey, Guildford, UK in 2011 and 2018 respectively. I have also worked as a Research Assistant at the Institute for Communication Systems, home of 5G Innovation Centre (5GIC), University of Surrey. My research interests broadly lie in Signal Processing for Wireless Communication, including Physical Layer Network Slicing (RAN slicing) and Waveform design for fifth-generation (5G) air interface.
