Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscope (FESEM) is one of the many state of the art equipment housed at the Department of Materials Science & Engineering at IST. This facility is open to all students within & from outside the university as well as to collaborating research groups from academia and industry. Equipped with various detectors (SE, BSE, EDS & LVSTD) it has a resolution of ~5nm, with excellent capabilities for microstructural and microchemical studies. The highly trained and experienced staff provides assistance and enable students and research groups to achieve their research objectives.
