Dr. Mursaleen Shahid is an Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering with a Ph.D. in Materials, Mechatronics, and Systems Engineering from the University of Trento, Italy. His expertise spans additive manufacturing and sustainable material design, with strong interests in digital twins, Industry 4.0 technologies, and intelligent manufacturing systems. His research focuses on developing innovative printable binders, additive manufacturing processes parameters, and low-carbon strategies for environmental applications such as lithium-ion battery waste encapsulation.
Dr. Shahid has taught a wide range of courses in mechanical and manufacturing engineering, fostering innovation, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills among students. He is also open to supervising final-year projects, master’s projects, and theses.


Passionate about bridging academia and industry, he actively engages in interdisciplinary collaborations that integrate additive manufacturing, digitalization, and sustainable engineering practices to deliver practical solutions for global challenges while mentoring future engineers and researchers.
