Innovation and Commercialization (I&C)

The Innovation and Commercialization (I&C) section of our university, in alignment with the guidelines of the Higher Education Commission (HEC) in Pakistan, plays a pivotal role in bridging the gap between academia and industry. Our primary objective is to effectively translate research outcomes into practical applications that contribute to socio-economic development. The I&C section actively promotes research commercialization by identifying commercially viable projects and facilitating their transformation into market-ready products and services. This involves not only the commercialization of ongoing research but also engaging with industry partners to bring innovative projects to exchange mutual expertise and resources.
We place a strong emphasis on supporting startups by providing mentorship, funding opportunities, and incubation facilities, helping to nurture entrepreneurial ventures that emerge from our academic community. Our commitment to intellectual property (IP) management is crucial, as we offer guidance on IP processing and protection, ensuring that our researchers can safeguard their inventions. By building robust industrial partnerships and fostering joint collaborations, we create a dynamic environment that enhances research impact and drives technology transfer.
The I&C section also conducts training sessions and workshops designed to equip students and faculty with the necessary skills for successful entrepreneurship and commercialization. By showcasing our research achievements and success stories, we strive to position the university as a leading hub for innovative solutions that address both national and global challenges, ultimately enhancing our contribution to Pakistan's knowledge economy.
