The Department of Humanities and Sciences, Institute of Space Technology (IST), organized a Seminar on “Marginalization of Humanities and Social Sciences: Perspectives from Academia and Industry” on August 21, 2025. The seminar sought to highlight the challenges faced by both fields in academic and industrial contexts, while fostering dialogue on the significance of interdisciplinary collaboration. The event commenced with a welcome address by Maj. Gen. (Retd) Dr. Syed Najeeb Ahmad, HI(M), Vice Chancellor, IST, who emphasized the importance of such discussions in shaping a well-rounded academic environment.
